Once saved, always saved? / Is eternal security biblical?

The Bible teaches that salvation is the work of God, not only a human decision (John 3:3; Titus 3:5). When a person is saved, they receive a new heart and the Holy Spirit comes to live in them (Ezekiel 36:26–27).

The Scriptures affirm that this salvation is secure: • God completes what He begins (Romans 8:30). • No one can accuse or condemn the believer, because Christ intercedes for him (Romans 8:33–34). • The believer possesses eternal life—not temporary (John 3:15). • Nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:38–39).

If someone could lose their salvation, then it would no longer be "eternal." The Bible does not teach that the new birth can be undone.

Therefore, the true believer is secure in Christ. This is not a license to sin, but a transforming relationship that produces obedience.
