What is the true meaning of Christmas?

The true meaning of Christmas is the love of God manifested in Jesus.

John 3:16–17 summarizes the heart of Christmas: God loved the world and sent His Son to save it, not to condemn it. Christmas celebrates the moment when God became man in the person of Jesus Christ.

Why was it necessary? Because we needed a Savior. God did not send His Son out of obligation, but out of love (1 John 4:8). Christ came to bear our sins and offer eternal life (Romans 5:8).

Christmas is not only tradition, lights, or gifts. It is remembering that: • God took the initiative • heaven came to earth • salvation was offered freely

We celebrate by giving, worshiping, and helping others, as a response of gratitude for the supreme gift: Jesus.
